Cairo Marriott Hotel

Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino
The Cairo Marriott Hotel, once named Gezira Palace, was built in 1869 by orders from Khedive Ismail, ruler of Egypt at that time. The Palace was once the guest house for French Empress Eugenie whom was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Suez Canal. In 1982 Marriott International built up the two towers and it became Cairo Marriott Hotel.
