3 Ways to Let ‘Minion Yellow’ Enliven Event Spaces

Just in time for summer, the Pantone Color Institute has released a vibrant new color.

Event professionals and designers have a new hue to add to their colorful bag of tricks! The Pantone Color Institute recently released the brand-new Minion Yellow.

The vibrant hue, inspired by the Minions from the animated film Despicable Me, is Pantone's first-ever character-branded color. And this color couldn’t be more fitting for summer!

"Just as the sun’s rays enliven us, Pantone Minion Yellow is a color that heightens awareness and creates clarity, lighting the way to the intelligence, originality and the resourcefulness of an open mind — this is the color of hope, joy and optimism," Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said in a press release.

The color is also being described as illuminating, energetic, friendly, fun-loving, playful and warm. Although Minion Yellow won’t officially be added to the Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors color palette until the next color addition, you can bring this bright yellow hue to your meeting spaces and event designs now!

3 Ways to Bring Minion Yellow to Event Spaces

Florals: Bring some color to the event space with yellow flowers and centerpieces. Think yellow daisies and sunflowers!

Linens: Use neutral and subdued table decor with vibrant yellow linens, including tablecloths, napkins and chair coverings.

Food and drink: Put the newest Pantone color right into guests’ hands with yellow food and drink offerings. Think iced tea, a lemon-inspired spread, a yellow craft cocktail or a yellow dessert.
