With the buzz of the Academy Awards season heating up, you have the perfect opportunity to build on this movie fever at your next event with a few clever cocktails.

Whether your meeting’s attendees are rooting for “Wolf of Wall Street,” “Her” or “American Hustle,” they’ll enjoy sipping on beverages inspired by their favorite flicks. And we’re serving up a few ideas:

Serve Up Drinks With an Emerald City Theme

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences this is honoring the 75th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz. Bring your guests to the “wonderful world of Oz” with a tasty green beverage. Consider this concoction served over ice in a retro punch bowl—sometimes called “Green Beast Punch”—that can be used for your Oscar-celebrating-purposes. Label it something kitschy, like “The Oz 75.”

  • 1 ounce Pernod Absinthe
  • 1ounce fresh lime
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 4 ounces water
  • Thinly sliced cucumbers
  • Combine ingredients in a punch bowl.  Add ice and float sliced cucumbers on top.

Award Oscar Statuettes All Around

Everyone at the Oscars in vying for their very own gold Oscar—and everyone at your Oscar-themed event will be looking for a gold-colored beverage. Deliver a gold-toned beverage, served in an elegant champagne flute, that guests can flaunt as their own trophy. Call it “The Oscar.”

  • 2/3 ounce peach vodka
  • 2/3 ounce peach puree
  • 1 lump of sugar
  • 1 tsp. grenadine
  • Champagne
  • Place the cube in the bottom of the champagne flute, and add grenadine.  Add the peach vodka and puree. Stir gently, and top with champagne.

Chill Out With a Frozen Cocktail

Who says frozen drinks are only appropriate poolside? If you’re attendees are fans of animated feature film nominee, “Frozen,” a blender-prepped drink might well be their first choice. Do you want to build a snowman?  This icy rum drink will help you get started while conducting a sing-along to the soundtrack of “ Frozen.”

  • 1 ounce Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
  • 1/4 ounce triple sec
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender with ice and blend.  Garnish with a pineapple wedge.

Offer a Howling Toast

If your guests have seen even a glimpse of “The Wolf of Wall Street,” they’ll know alcohol is a prominent player in the film. If Leo is their guy and they’re fans of the Scorsese film, why not whip up a champagne martini—“The Wall Street Martini”—for them to sip on?

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce peach schnapps
  • Champagne
  • Fresh raspberries
  • Shake vodka and schnapps with ice, and strain into champagne flute.  Top with champagne, and garnish with raspberries.

Give a Nod to the ’70s

What’s more Italian than prosecco? Give in to the guests who are cheering for “American Hustle” for Best Picture with some Italian bubbly. Use this recipe for Due Campari Nuovo for you very own “American Hustle” cocktail.

  • 1/2 ounce Campari
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur
  • 4 ounces prosecco
  • Combine all ingredients in a champagne flute and garnish with flamed orange twist.
